This year’s A to Z Blog Challenge flag on today the April 1st 2015!

My first write-up on this series goes with ‘Arlee’ the Man behind this wonderful blog challenge!

That means A is for Arlee Bird The Founder of A to Z Blog Challenge! (A Man Who Juggle With Words And Phrases)

Yes, this year’s A to Z Blog Challenge (the brain child of Arlee Bird of  “Tossing Out”) is just started!

Arlee Bird, A Californian blogger started this challenge in the year 2010 just to celebrate his blog page reaching 200 follower mark.   In the first challenge nearly 100 bloggers participated, and every year the number increased to thousands and the flame is still glowing with more thousands participating every year.

A to Z is indeed a challenge to the blog writers!

Any blogger from around the world can participate in this wonderful challenge.

From the beginning of the month every day write one article and post it on their blog posts.

Except on Sundays’ all the other days of the week people air their write-ups through their pages.

Each day stands for one alphabetic letter that is:

April 1 is for A

And 2nd is for B,

This way it continues to the end of the alphabet Z

Here is a schedule of this year’s challenge:

A to Z Challenge [Letter Schedule] [2015]-1

One need to write everyday one post on their pages and will promote it. Also the participants need to visit other fellow participants’ pages and comment on their contents.   A minimum of 5 blog pages should be visited and commented on everyday.

Arlee’s main blog page is :  Tossing It out

Apart from A to Z initiative he also manages few other blogs by name:

“Wrote By Rote” (memoir writing)

“A Few Words”  is his Sunday contemplation blog.

” Faraway View”  is about dreams.

  2. Your first post on Arlee Bird is an interesting way of starting the blogging challenge. May be next year, I shall take up the idea and write biographies one for each day. I do write many biographies of Indian achievers, scientists,
engineers and management scholars. This year my theme is various management concepts. All the best for your success in this year’s blogging challenge.

    • Thank you Prof. Rao garu, for the kind visit and comment,
No, this year no special theme as such, that is indeed
a good theme for such challenge. But when I think of
A to Z Challenge the first few names come to my mind
is Arlee Bird, Alex Cavanaugh, and the late Tina Downey
In 2013 I was a minion to her for the challenge, her departure
is an irreparable lose mainly to the A to Z community and
      particularly to me.
Here is a special information to you to note, hope you notice
your avatar picture appeared in the
sidebar under “Top Commentators” is showing something else
this is because when we comment on Word Press blog pages
if we do not have a picture the default image shows up, and
in the comment column it appears as a whitehead one. To
avoid this you need to have picture. Here is an easy tutorial

Hey i just noticed something to inform you:

Here is a special information to you to note, hope you notice
your avatar picture appeared here as well as in the sidebar
under “Top Commentators” is showing something else
this is because when we comment on Word Press blog pages
if we do not have a picture the default image shows up, and
in the comment column it appears as a whitehead one, and on
the sidebar yet another different picture! :-) To avoid this
you need to have picture of your own.
Here is an easy tutorial written by my online friend Chery.

    • Hi Sunny,
Good to see you again here:-)
Yes, Arlee is doing a tremendous job in this reagard.
Many days arrangements with different team members as well as maintaining many different websites of his own, and he is participating in the challenge from all his blog pages . Making post for each page too on a daily basis is a tedious job.
Sorry, Sunday the linky list is closed by the midnight of 2nd April, No worries you can participate in the next year challenge.
      Have a great weekend.

      Season’s Greetings. :-)

  6. The A-Z blogging challenge went awesome as the years passed. It was the year 2010 when the challenge started, just to celebrate Arlee Bird’s blog page reaching 200 follower marks and every year the number increased to thousands. The challenge is obviously helpful to the participants, so the flame persist to glow.

A challenge like this can help bloggers to know and prove their capacity in daily blogging except Sundays.
